Chef Aaron "Leo" Menchel, 50, of Vero Beach, FL was called to heaven on November 25, 2016. He was reunited with his mother, Wendy (Bloom) & his grandparents. There is no denying the love & laughter they are sharing now. Survived by his twin boys, Adam & Zachary, and his wife Kimberlee. His dearly loved Aunt Judy (Bloom) Mooers who's unselfish love poured upon him after his mother's passing. He is also survived by his father, Robert (Carol) Menchel. Siblings Joel (Heather) Menchel, Alana Skelly, Leah (Brian) Taylor & Glenn (James) Sullivan, and his beloved nieces & nephews, cousins & friends.
Aaron battled kidney disease from the early age of 18 months & he fought right up to the very end with inner strength, hope, courage, a positive attitude & an abundance of humor. His perseverance allowed him to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Biology & a Master of Science in Higher Education. However, his greatest achievement was being an extraordinary "puppa" to his precious sons.
His humbleness touched each & everyone he came into contact with. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
A celebration-of-life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Garden Club of IRC located at 2526 17th Ave, Vero Beach, FL. It will be a St. Paul's Church service officiated by the Rev. Jonathan Robbins.
