Adelaide "Addy" Lillian Singer died on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 peacefully at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

Born in 1926 in Newark, NJ, she resided in Mountainside and Manchester, NJ before moving to Vero Beach in 2008.

Survivors include her daughter Donna Singer and partner JoJo Fink; son Alan Singer and partner Carolyn B. Norton; granddaughters Kelly Norton and Darcy Singer.

She was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Robert L. Singer; and was also preceded in death by her brothers Richard and Harold Shortmeier.

Addy enjoyed theatre, literature, traveling, skiing and ice dancing. She was a long time member of the Essex Skating Club of New Jersey, and their Precision Ice Dance Team, which competed at the national level.

She was beautiful on the inside and out, kind, generous and loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
