Adeline Wiggins, of Vero Beach, FL, (formerly of New York), peacefully passed away in her home on August 7, 2015 in the comforting presence of her daughter, Lauri. She was 90 years old.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Wiggins-Lester, of Atlanta, and Lauri Tagliferro of Vero Beach, her son-in-law, William Lester, and her granddaughters, Amy Lester and Abby Lester.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Warren Wiggins, and a young son, Thomas Wiggins. Addie loved her dogs, Hannah, Sophie, and especially "Puppy," who predeceased her by just a few weeks. She was talented at sewing and gardening, and made many of her children's clothes when they were young. Born Adeline Grace Tafuri, she worked in her youth as a bank bookkeeper, and when her children were in school as a special education classroom volunteer and a credit agency typist. Her loving presence and wry sense of humor will be missed by all. A private memorial will be held by the immediate family. Memorial donations may be to the Alzheimer's Association or to the H.A.L.O. Animal No-Kill Rescue Shelter of Sebastian, Florida.
