Alan Ingrham Newhouse, 88, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at his house in Vero Beach.
Mr. Newhouse was born February 13, 1919 in Salt Lake City, UT and moved to Vero Beach 8 years ago from Nantucket, CT.
He had been the owner/operator for Behring International. He was a member of the Walking Wounded Tennis Group, Mooring Pond Sailing Group and a volunteer for Indian River Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include his spouse Sandra Cross Newhouse of Vero Beach and Nantucket; daughter Nancy Newhouse of Nantucket, CT; son Gerald Newhouse of Nantucket, CT; daughter Deborah Dunham of Washington, DC; son Christopher Newhouse of Houston, TX; stepdaughters Daphne Muller of Oyster Bay Cove, NY, Tiffany Vittorini of Nantucket, CT and Holly Hanlon of Chappaqua, NY; four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Virginia Sharp Newhouse and his brother Edgar L. Newhouse, Jr.
