Obit: Albert Karl Fenne, Jr.
Albert Karl Fenne, Jr., USCG, Ret., 86, of Spanish Lakes Fairways, Ft. Pierce, FL died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL.
Warrant Officer Fenne was born November 18, 1924 in Avon Lake, OH and moved to Fort Pierce, FL 22 years ago from Sarasota, FL.
He had served in the US Navy during WW II after which he enlisted in the USCG at Cleveland, OH. In October 1964 he was appointed to warrant officer and assigned as Commanding Officer of the San Francisco Lightship before finishing his career on the CGC Sedge. He holds the following medals CG Good Conduct with 3 Bronze Stars, National Defense, American Defense, European Campaign, American Campaign Asiatic Pacific, WW II Victory and Philippine Liberation.
Survivors include his loving companion Pauline Laline of Spanish Lakes Fairways; two sons Frank Fenne of Denver, CO and Bill Fenne of Clovis, CA; a daughter Brenda Pelizzon of Granby, CT; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister Shirley Fenne.

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
