Alexandra Puchta Brown, more commonly known as Sandy, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at her home in Vero Beach, Florida.
Sandy was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, a devoted friend, and an adoring grandmother to her five grandchildren who called her "Sassy".
A former resident of Darien, CT and a 15 year member of the Vero Beach community, Sandy was a member of Bent Pine Golf Club in Vero Beach and the Lawrence Beach Club in Lawrence, NY. Sandy was always the first to volunteer at her boys' schools and most recently was active in the administration of the Saint Edwards School Trunk Show, an annual fund raising event.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Scott Brown of Vero Beach, FL; sons Scott Brown, Jr. of Bedford, NY, Lawrence C. Brown of Darien, CT, Alexander B. Brown of Stuart, FL; sister Jennifer Berkeley of East Hampton, NY; brothers Lawrence Puchta of Minneapolis, Anthony Puchta of New York, and five grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for September 8, 2012 at Saint Matthews Church in Bedford, New York.
