Alfred Leonard Anderson
1949 – 2025

Alfred Leonard Anderson, 76, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2025.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Alfred was the son of the late Alfred B. Anderson and Rosalind Tomako Anderson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later dedicated many years of his life to the Indian River County School District, working as a custodian. He was known for his steady presence, quiet work ethic, and kind spirit.

A man of Catholic faith, Alfred found joy in the simple things—most especially fishing. He was never happier than when casting a line, and he deeply missed the peacefulness of the water in recent years when his health no longer allowed him to fish.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Anderson; his son, Jon Anderson; his stepson, Michael Reynolds; step-daughters Susan and Michelle; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.

A service in Alfred's honor will be held at Veterans Memorial Island on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 2:00PM. Military honors will be rendered by the Sebastian Honor Guard in recognition of his service.
