Alfred Javins, 79, of Ft. Pierce, FL died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Javins was born August 24, 1931 in Linesville, PA and moved to Ft. Pierce 29 years ago, coming from New Jersey.
He attended Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was a member of VFW Post 1952 in New Jersey, the Loyal Order of the Moose and American Legion of Vero Beach.
He served in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement he was a Chief Marine Engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers, and an engineer for the Indian River Medical Center Power Plant.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carol; daughter, Jacquelyn Gilbert of Vero Beach, FL, and 1 grandson.
