Alfred Edward Stasonis, 88, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home in Vero Beach.
Mr. Stasonis was born September 5, 1922 in Waterbury, CT and moved to Vero Beach in 1991 from Naugatuck, CT.
He had been a machinist and foreman at Anchor Fasteners in Waterbury and was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Navy.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the Choraliers of Vista Plantation in Vero Beach.
He was also a member of the VFW and Elks Lodge in Waterbury.
His survivors include two sons Robert Stasonis of North Reading, MA and William Stasonis of Waterbury, CT; two daughters Maggie Enderle of Vero Beach, FL and Kathie Flynn of Laguna Beach, CA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Katherine Stasonis.

Service: A Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Monday, July 4, 2011 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury, CT at a time to be determined.
