Obituary:
Alfred Carl Westermann, 74, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born August 2, 1935 in New York, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1990 from his place of birth.
Mr. Westermann was a graduate of Bucknell University and started his career as an Ad-Man. He retired in 1989 as a Vice-President of Petry in New York. Upon retiring to Florida in 1990 he opened Westermann Communications Advertising in Vero Beach and then four years ago, he started his radio show Around Town with Al Westermann on WGYL 1490 AM.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Rodham Westermann; son Bradley; daughters Wendy, Jackie and Kimi and six grandchildren.
Service: A memorial service will take place 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
