Alice Douglass Cronk, 85, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, September 10,2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Cronk was born May 13, 1923 in Baltimore, MD and moved to Vero Beach five years ago from Sebastian, FL where she had lived for ten years after moving from Mahwah, NJ.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics from Cornell University and her Masters Degree from Columbia Teachers College. Mrs. Cronk had been a Food Stylist for the test kitchen of Family Circle Magazine and the BBDO Advertising Agency in New York. She then became a Freelance Food Stylist prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Sebastian Chapter of the PEOs and multiple local Quilting Clubs.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Jay and Sara Douglass Cronk of Glenwood, MD; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Christopher Bower of Glenside, PA; niece Nina Douglass-Farina of Waldwick, NJ; and two granddaughters Alice and Audrey Bower.
She was predeceased by her brothers William Edward Douglass and Carleton Douglass.
Services: A memorial service will take place at a later date.
