Alice E. Ferguson, 84, of Vero Beach died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Ferguson was born October 22, 1927 in East Liverpool, OH. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for 27 years, coming from East Liverpool.

Prior to her retirement she worked for O.S. Hill and Co. as an Inventory Control Clerk for 19 years.

She volunteered for the American Red Cross.

Survivors include her son William R. Ferguson of Vero Beach; daughters Marianne Bennett & Caitlyn Weaver all of Vero Beach; brother Jerry D. Leigh of Jacksonville; sister Teresa Durling of Vero Beach; 2 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, William B. Ferguson and daughter Nancy Yabarra.

Private family services will be held.
