Alice U. Peterson, 88, of Vero Beach, Fl, passed away December 3, 2014, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL. She was a native of Dinwiddie, VA, and moved to Vero Beach, Florida 34 years ago from York, PA.

Alice was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Vero Beach and she was a volunteer for Ambulance Service.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Robert H. Peterson of Vero Beach, FL, sons, Robert H. Peterson, Jr of Fort Pierce, FL, and Mark Peterson, and his wife, Leigh of Vero Beach, FL, and Scott Peterson and his wife, Jennifer of West Palm Beach, FL, a daughter, Janice Jesmer and her husband, David, of Vero Beach, FL, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, a brother, Albert Uzel and his wife, Nancy of Richmond, VA and a sister, Francis Sebera of Price George, VA.

Alice was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Virginia Peterson.

Family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-3678.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 9:00 until 10:00am at St. Joseph Church with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00am, at 2935 Kingston Rd, York, PA, with burial to follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery, York, PA.

The Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements, out of town arrangements are being handled by Etzweiler Funeral Home in York, PA.
