Alicia Brelsford Callander, 94, of Vero Beach, passed peacefully on March 8 ^th 2021.  Born in Miami Beach, Florida November 17 ^th 1926 to Alice Ashby Brelsford and Edmund Brelsford. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Munoz Callander whom she met while attending the University of Miami.  Alicia graduated with a Bachelors in Education and became a teacher prior to raising her children.

She was very involved in many civic organizations in Miami, including Junior League, Viscayans, Historical Preservation and others.  She was also a founding member of and past president of the Ceramic League of Miami.  Upon moving to Vero Beach she joined the Vero Beach Art Club where she served as treasurer and on the board.  Alicia was an amazing clay artist specializing in Raku firing, her work was in the Artist Guild Gallery for many years.

A woman of strength, grace and kindness, gifted with a full and happy life.  She was loved by many, well respected professionally and personally by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Ralph Jr. (Betty), Cynthia and Dorinda.  Her eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Alicia will be laid to rest with her loving husband and dancing partner through life at the South Florida National Cemetery in Palm Beach County.  Where she will be "Still backing him up".

There will not be any services at this time.  However there will be a Celebration of Life in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ceramic League of Miami and the Vero Beach Art Club on Alicia's behalf.
