Allan G. Ballard, born in Chicago, August 6, 1922, died Sunday, September 13, 2015, in Vero Beach, where he lived for the last 25 years. He was 93, active, and sharp till the end. He is survived by his two sons, Douglas Ballard (Arizona), and Jeffrey Ballard (Florida), two grandsons, and two granddaughters, and also by his sister, Dorothy Hughes (New Jersey).

Mr. Ballard was a veteran of WWII. A Marine Engineer in the Merchant Marine from 1942 till 1945, one of his ships was torpedoed in the Mediterranean. Mr. Ballard had a long career in the insurance industry.

A remembrance gathering will be held this Saturday at 10am, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1590 27th Avenue, Vero Beach. Any donations can be made in his name to the Fellowship.
