Alonzo Byrd Bryant, 86, of Vero Beach, FL passed on Monday, April 19, 2009 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Bryant was born November 23, 1922 in Greenville, TN and moved to Vero Beach 5 years ago from Lake Placid, FL.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement he worked for Pan-American in Miami, FL for 43 years, and was a member of the Church of God in Vero Beach .
Survivors include his wife of 20 years Elizabeth Bryant of Vero Beach, son Lon G. Bryant of Atlanta, GA, daughter Nancy Moeller of Berlin, Germany, and son Edgar Carrion of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and six grandchildren.
Service: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday 23, 2009 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service will take place at 7 PM . Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11 AM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth with full military honors.
