Andrew Andrascik, 90, of Vero Beach, FL, died at VNA Hospice of Indian River on September 24, 2016.

Andrew was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Kamenica, Slovakia, and journeyed to the U.S. as a young student.

He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with an engineering degree and had a long career with Blawnox Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he raised his family. He also worked for Vara International.

Andrew was an engineer at heart, who was interested in nature, music, art, good food and the company of his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Viola; four daughters, Ann Sniegocki, Helen Andrascik Smith (Zach), Cora Argotti (Ralph) and Emilia Andrascik; and eight beloved grandchildren, Adam (Teri), Emily and Molly Sniegocki; Lily, Ben and Eli Smith; Mikayla Argotti and Tara Miller Andrascik.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Monday, October 17th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the VNA Hospice of Indian River.
