Andrew Dorio (May 29, 1971-August 12, 2021) passed unexpectedly in Florida. Andrew was born in Rochester, NY to Louis Dorio and the late Jo-Ann Loucks. The family moved to Wayne County, in the New York Finger Lakes Region. Andrew attended the North Rose-Walcott School System and won recognition as a soccer superstar in high school, receiving many awards and exceptional coverage by local newspapers. His outstanding ability earned him appointments to both the Regional and All-State teams. He went on to play Division 1 soccer at Canisius College, Buffalo NY, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then began a career in the pharmaceutical industry and concurrently continued his education receiving a Master of Business Degree from Phoenix University. Andrew's personality and skills made him a top performer, winning many awards at several organizations. Andrew was also a voracious reader, which was evidenced by his exceptional knowledge on many subjects. He particularly enjoyed contemporary fiction of many genres. He was an expert skier and met mountain challenges from Quebec to California. He enjoyed cooking and eating good food with good friends and family, He was quick with a smile or a joke and will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity, ready to help anyone who needed it. Andrew was extremely gregarious and had a multitude of loyal friends. His friendships were broad and deep and had no limits to age, sex, color, creed or station in life. His devotion to his friends was invariably returned by all. Andrew was a true raconteur who generated as many stories about him as stories that he told. He will always be remembered as the wonderful person he was.

Andrew is survived and sadly missed by his father, Louis Dorio (Jeannette Grosz), sister, Christina Hartman (Michael Hartman), nieces, Emily Hartman, Kate Hartman, his dear close friend, Erin Murray, Aunts and uncles, Patricia Mazur, Barbara Skora, John and Cheryl Hughes, and several cousins.

The family will bring Andrew's ashes back to Wayne County for scattering at a time and place to be announced. All are welcome and encouraged to support an organization focused on mental health, addiction and recovery, in Andrew's name.
