Angelo Fichera, 98, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31 ^st .  He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Josephine (Becchetti) Fichera; his daughter, Angela (Thomas) Bellard of Kissimmee, FL and Clifton Park, NY; his son, Frank (Patti) Fichera of Medford, NJ.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Catherine (Ronald) Ross of Hyde Park, NY; his sister, Lena Horton; his brother, Michael Fichera; and his parents, Caterina Fichera and Salvatore Fichera.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Angelo was born in Rhinebeck, NY and served in the US Army during World War II.  He later moved to Poughkeepsie, NY and worked for IBM for over 25 years.  He was a member of the Italian Center in Poughkeepsie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL at 10 am on Friday June 15 ^th .  Those wishing to send a donation in lieu of flowers may send donations in his name to VNA Hospice, 1110 35 ^th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
