Ann Roeder Hough, 77, of Vero Beach passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009. Ann was born July 30, 1931 in Washington D.C. and moved to Vero Beach in 1979 from Silver Spring, MD with her husband Robert C. Bob Hough to whom she had been married since August 19, 1950. In addition to her husband Bob, she is survived by daughters Wanda Ann Laux of Lakeland, FL and Betsy Woodin of Vero Beach, and grandchildren Courtney Ann Laux, Rachel Victoria Laux, Robert Forrest Laux, Sarah Elizabeth Laux, Ashley Woodin, Shannon Woodin, Faith Woodin and Hope Woodin.
A devoted wife, mother and friend, Ann was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach, where she volunteered as a nursery home visitor, and was a member of the Sisel Saxton Post 41 American Legion Auxiliary in Silver Spring, MD.
The family will receive friends 3-5 PM Wednesday March 11, 2009 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a celebration service at 5 PM at the funeral home, Chaplain Ken Jones of the VNA/Hospice officiating. Her final resting place will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD with her parents, the late James E. and Gertrude (King) Roeder.
