Obituary

Ann Herrick Murphy, 91, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Florida. Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, in 1918, she remained there with her husband, George H. Murphy, who was a railroad engineer with the New York Central Railroad. Together they raised their family there vacationing in Florida during the 50s and 60s. In 1973, they relocated to Okeechobee.
She enjoyed gardening, shopping, Bible studies, and many friends in the Jehovahs Witness communities in both Ohio and Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, George H. Murphy and her daughter, Judith Ann Kinty.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Jill) Murphy of Okeechobee; five grandchildren, including Aaron (Emma) Kinty of Okeechobee and Philip (Karen) Kinty of Canton, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren, including Xavier Kinty of Okeechobee; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Natalie Herrick MacKeller of Portland, Oregon.
Services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness, 8250 Highway 70 West, Okeechobee, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anns memory to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
