Anna Katsanis, 95, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Consulate Healthcare of Vero Beach.

Mrs. Katsanis was born on April 3, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 32 years coming from Youngsville, New York.

Mrs. Katsanis primarily considered herself as a homemaker, however, she also worked as a real estate agent and was proud to say that she passed the real estate exam before there were calculators and computers!  Anna also had worked for Western Electric. During her tenure at Western Electric Mrs. Katsanis earned an award for innovation on their production line.  Mrs. Katsanis grew up on a dairy farm.  She was a gardener, she also enjoyed raising and caring for different animals.  One of her favorites was a crow that she rescued and named "Ace."  Anna was also very handy and could do almost anything in the workshop.

Mrs. Katsanis was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Nicholas (1994); her daughter, Olga; and her eldest son, Dennis.  Survivors include her sons, William and Nicholas, both of Vero Beach, Florida.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Crestlawn Cemetery. Father John Mamangakis of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home.
