Anne Shepherd Gillick, 92, died March 5, 2010 at Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Staten Island, New York and lived in Florida for 53 years, coming from Long Island, New York.
She lived in Jupiter for 23 years before coming to Vero Beach in 1980.
She was an extraordinarily gifted and most loving and devoted wife and mother. Annes countenance was admired and treasured by many.
Anne was the office manager and administrative assistant for thirty years in her daughter Elizabeths landscape architectural practice in Vero Beach. During that time she became known to many as Lizs mother and made many meaningful acquaintances over the years in telephone conversations and interactions.
Anne was a lifelong Episcopalian until she joined Christ by the Sea, United Methodist Church in 2003.
Anne was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Gillick; her brother John Whitney Shepherd and her grandson, Daniel Bowman Gillick.
Survivors include her three sons, Robert W. Gillick, Jr. And his wife Kathy of Vero Beach, John Bernard Gillick and his wife Dottie of Palm Beach Gardens, Ralph Shepherd Gillick of Orlando and daughter Elizabeth Anne Gillick of Vero Beach; her sister Barbara Shepherd Walser of Richmond, Virginia; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 12th at Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church, 3755 Highway A-1-A, Vero Beach with Rev. Dawn E. Reichard, officiating.
