IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Antoinette Spagnoli
Brugnoli
March 8, 1928 – December 31, 2025
Antoinette Brugnoli, age 97, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on December 31, 2025.
Born in the borough of Queens in New York City to Joseph Spagnoli and Maria Zazzi Spagnoli, Antoinette grew up and lived for most of her life on Staten Island in New York City. She had one sibling; her sister, Norma Spagnoli.
Antoinette graduated from New Dorp High School in 1946 and married Louis Gino Brugnoli in 1948. They had two children together; Louis Brugnoli, who passed away in 1974, and Robert Brugnoli and his wife Reva, who reside in Vero Beach. Gino and Antoinette moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1990 to be closer to their son, Robert. Her husband, Gino, passed away in 1994.
Antoinette worked briefly in a business office until marrying her husband, Gino. She was a homemaker who took pride in being at home and raising her children. She especially enjoyed cooking authentic Northern Italian meals for family and friends with the recipes of her mother. When her children were teenagers, Antoinette decided to go to work part-time in the library at the Citibank Building in downtown Manhattan. Later on, she managed the house accounts for the family restaurant, the Scoop Restaurant, in midtown Manhattan in New York City, until the restaurant was sold.
Antoinette had a very close relationship with her sister, Norma, who moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1994. Norma passed away in 2010.
After the death of her husband and sister, Antoinette enjoyed spending time with her son Robert and his family. She very much enjoyed spending time interacting with her neighborhood friends who were especially attentive to her in the last several years. She was a member of St. Helen's Church in Vero Beach, Florida.
Antoinette was a wonderful grandmother to Elizabeth Brugnoli Ullian and she lived long enough to attend Elizabeth's marriage to Dane Ullian in 2009. She got to enjoy her two great-grandchildren; Reva Ullian, 12 and Reed Ullian, 9.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM, Friday, January 23, 2026 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Antoinette will be interred at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, Beach, with her husband.
