Apollon Farmakidis, 81, of Fort Pierce, FL died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach.
Mr. Farmakidis was born February 27, 1928 in Manhattan, NY and moved to Fort Pierce in 1990 from Parsippany, NJ.
He had been a Senior Designer for Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret Farmakidis of Fort Pierce; daughter Lydia Reed of Vero Beach; son James Farmakidis of Winter Haven, FL; sister Elsie Farmakidis of Athens, Greece; and one grandson.
Services: A private memorial celebration will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
