ARLENE MARIE FOOTE, age 102, passed away August 24, 2026 after a brief hospitalization in Vero Beach, Florida. 

She was born July 21, 1924 in Detroit, Ml to Bruno & Kathryn (Halsig) Kossel. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Kathryn Dale (Eric), and her younger brother, Robert Kossel (Lorraine). In 1946, after her discharge from the U.S. Navy WAVES, she married the love of her life, George H. Foote, who passed away in 2009. Together they created homes in several locations and raised three children: Gary (Catherine) of Kennebunk, ME; Richard (Judith) of Scarborough, ME; and David (Diana) of Bridgeport, CT. 

She was a loving grandmother to Jessica (Tarek) Eid; Adam (Denise Oki) Foote; Elizabeth (Philip Maiewski) Foote, and Hayley Foote; and great-grandmother to Lena and Malek Eid. 

She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach. 

A private celebration of Arlene's life will be held by the family in the mausoleum at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights, OH. The family is requesting that any donations be sent to United Way of
