Dr. Arthur C. Quackenbush, 89 died April 2, 2012, in Vero Beach

Arthur was born in Pearl River, new York on November 21, 1922. He was a Navy pilot who served in WWII and the Korean War, serving as a physician at St. Albans hospital. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1947 and Harvard Medical School in 1951. He was a long time family physician in Bay Shore, New York. He relocated to Vero Beach, Florida in his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children Diane Majtan, Brian, Michael, Gail, Peggy Maguire, Alison Coccari: Brother Joseph, 14 grandchildren, and one great grandaughter.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher who lost his life on 9/11/2001.

Services:Private services will be held in Vero Beach and this summer in Bay Shore, NY.
