Arthur C. Silvano, 84, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Silvano was born January 7, 1924 in Albany, NY and moved to the Vero Beach area in 1980 from his birthplace.
He had been a Fingerprint Analyst for the State of New York before his retirement. Mr. Silvano was a Purple Heart recipient and a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, American Legion Post 39 in Vero Beach, the Italian American Club and a volunteer police officer for the Colonie, NY Police Auxiliary.
Survivors include his daughters Mary Malicki of Boynton Beach, FL and Ann T. Smith of Albany, NY; a brother brother Eugene Silvano of Schenectady, NY; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Genevieve C. Silvano.
Services: Mr. Silvano will be transported to the Lasak and Gigliotti Funeral Home in Albany where a Mass will be celebrated and interment will take place at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery in Albany.
