Assunta Cuccurese, 94, of Vero Beach died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Indian River Medical Center.

She was born January 20, 1917 in Naples, Italy to Gennaro Corrado and Guisepinna Terraciano.

She had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1979, coming from New York.

She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Nando Cuccurese of Stuart, Frank Cuccurese of Vero Beach, and Ralph of Vero Beach; sister, Elvira Mennito; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her husband of 47 years, Raffaele.

Services: Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 12-2PM and from 6-8PM, with a prayer service at 6:30PM, at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral mass will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
