Audrey Gray Hanson, 95, passed away on September 14, 2016 at home with her children by her side. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph Merrill Gray an Edna Cowgill Gray, and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. In 1942, she married Charles Walter Hanson, and together they raised four children while living in Cleveland, Ohio, Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, and Miami, Florida, until finally moving to Grove Isle in Vero Beach, coming from Pompano Beach. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of twenty-nine years, Charles W. Hanson. She is survived by her four children: Merrilyn Beck (Jerry) of Florida, Richard C. Hanson (Cathy) of Canton, Texas, Donna Lee Hanson of Bullard, Texas, and Lari Ann Powers (Ray) of Apopka, Florida. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. At Audrey's request, there will be no services held. Memorial contributions are requested to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
