Augustine DAmico, 87, of Spanish Lakes Fairways, Fort Pierce, FL died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his home.
Mr. DAmico was born December 23, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1975 from Commack, NY before moving to Fort Pierce in 1993.
He had worked for Indian River Medical Center as a Biomedical Technician for 20 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the 35th Infantry of the U.S. Army and was a Purple Heart recipient and French Legion of Honor recipient. Mr. DAmico was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his fiancee Fran Posner of Fort Pierce, FL, son Michael DAmico of Palm Bay, FL; daughter Lorraine Baldwin of Fort Pierce, son Richard DAmico of Vero Beach, and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Rose DAmico.
Services: The family will receive friends 8:30-9:30 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach followed by Mass at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach with military honors by VFW Post #3918.
