Barbara Mehls Lee, 84 of Vero Beach, FL, died on February 19, 2013 at VNA Hospice House. Barbara was born in New Haven, CT on December 15, 1928. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for over 10 years. She was a graduate of Connecticut College in New London, CT. Prior to her retirement, she was an interior designer for 50 years. She volunteered for Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT, and also for the American Cancer Society. Survivors include her three children, Robert, Richard and Katherine as well as her grandchildren, Alexandra, Josie and Charlotte Lee; Calee and Teagan Lee and Meagan, Brendan and Aidan Collins. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Robert T. Lee of New Britain and her granddaughter, Hannah Lee. No local services are planned at this time.
