Barbara Nelson of Vero Beach passed away October 12, 2018.  She was born September 28, 1948, in West Pittston, PA to Louis and Gemma Pinola.

Barbara graduated from William Tennent High School in Southampton, PA  and went on to major in Fashion Design at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia -  winning three fashion design awards at her graduation in 1970.  Barbara worked at many jobs over the years but always returned to her real passion, textile and fashion design.  After retirement, she spent countless hours quilting, sewing and knitting.  She belonged to two local quilting guilds - Sun Bonnet Sue and Seaside Piecemakers.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bert N. Nelson; his family, Nancy and Herb Shuler and Pat and Bob Paul; sister, Linda Finnegan; niece, Caitlin Finnegan; her beloved daughter, Randi Rodriguez, son-in-law Herick Rodriguez and cherished grandson, Lorenzo Rodriguez.

A celebration of life / memorial service to be held at a later date.
