Barbara D. Pratt, 76, of North Hutchison Island, Ft. Pierce, FL died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Pratt was born March 25, 1932 in Queens, NY and moved from Deer Park, NY to Washington, DC before moving to North Hutchison Island in 1991.
She had worked for the United Nations before going to work at the Pentagon and then Homeland Security. She had attended St. Marks Episcopal Church in Ft. Pierce and as an avid animal lover was a supporter of the Humane Society of Vero Beach and of Ft. Pierce.
Survivors include her son William R. Pratt of Morrisville, NC, daughter Elizabeth G. Larkin of Vero Beach, sister Ruth Jack of Herkimer, NY, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Pratt.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Mrs. Pratt will be transferred to New York for interment at Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY.
