Beaulah Aline Higgins, 89, of Countryside, Vero Beach, FL passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at Dixie Oaks Manor in Vero Beach. Beaulah was born April 30, 1919 in Louisiana and moved to Vero Beach in 1982 from Houston, TX. She was the wife of Michael Angelo Palmisano whom she had married following the death of her first husband Frank Higgins. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. She was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army, and had been the vice-president of the Vero Beach West Lions Club.
Her family included her husband Michael Angelo Palmisano; son Dr. Michael J. Higgins; daughter Susan Volz; grandchildren 1st Lt. Sarah Higgins USN, Sophie Higgins, Emily Higgins, Shannon Volz-Cruz and Tracey Volz who had passed away while serving in the US Army; and great-grandchildren Karina, Sebastian Tracey and Aracelis.
The family will receive friends 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. A Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church with military honors provided by VFW Post 3918 of Vero Beach.
