Bertran Brown, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away March 15, 2021.  He was born in Glen White, West Virginia, and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 21years, having relocated from Beckley, WV.   He had worked in the education field before retirement.

Bertran loved his work, music, cars, playing and instructing others in tennis and playing football.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Bernedette Brown of Vero Beach; daughter, Edna O'Brien of Virginia; sons, Peter Brown of New Mexico and Mike Goode of West Virginia; step son, Christopher Summers of California and step daughter, Angela De Montagnac of New Jersey; grandchildren, Justin, Corey and Michelle; a brother, George Brown of West Virginia and his cousin Louis Green of California.

After serving in the Army Reserves for 27 years, Bertran will be interred in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the private Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Bertran Brown, which will be held at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 4360 36 ^th Avenue, Gifford, Florida on Saturday, April 10 ^th , beginning at 10:00 AM with Military Honors . Please plan on adhering to social distancing and wearing a mask inside the church. Space is limited.
