Bette J. Walsh, 78, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Royal Palm Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Walsh was born October 13, 1933 in New Bedford, MA and moved to Florida fifty years ago from Falmouth, MA.

She had been the manager of a gift shop prior to her retirement and had served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Bette was known for her generous heart and always remembered birthdays and special occasions with hand picked cards and personal good wishes - email was not an option.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years William A. Walsh; five children Kelly, Chris, Gary, Trisha, Charlene and their families including eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, a sister and their extended family.

Services: A memorial service will take place in the Spring of 2012.
