Betty Jean Blacketer, 81 of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
Betty was born in Indianapolis, IN and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 15 years coming from Lafayette, IN, formally of Linden, IN. Prior to retirement she worked as a clerk at Square Corner Hardware and as a bookkeeper for Skelton-Skinner in Linden, IN.
She was a member of King's Baptist in Vero Beach, FL and a former member at Faith Church in Lafayette, IN. Betty enjoyed time with family and cards with friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Ed) Young of Lafayette, IN; Cynthia (Craig) Bailey of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Krystal (Tom) Ragle of West Lafayette, IN; Jamey (Monica) Young of Lafayette, IN; great-grandchildren, Sally Young, Khloe Ragle, Josie Ragle and Leah Young. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Blacketer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at The Park in Linden, IN.
