Betty May McCann, born December 12, 1923 in Chicago, IL died on August 27, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She lived in Florida for 30 years moving from
Chicago, IL. She served in the U.S. Army Air Corp for 2 years during WWII as a Secretary and achieved the rank of Corporal. She recently was a member of the Vero Beach Air Force Sergeants Association as Vero Beach Flight Secretary. She was a member of and attended the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Betty May McCann is survived by her daughter Linda Wheeler, son-in-law Rick Bushgen, grandson Caleb Curry and granddaughter Johnie Wheeler. She also has two sisters, Gloria Szczudlo of Crown Point, IN and Carol Koenig of Las Vegas, NV and
many loving nieces and nephews.
The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 @ 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach. Internment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
