Betty "Kay" Mushung, age 77 of Vero Beach, FL died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. She was born June 5, 1935 in Peru, Indiana and had been a resident of Vero Beach for the past 36 years coming from Monroe, Michigan. Kay was the owner of The Bride's Shop in Vero Beach for 20 years and after retirement, became a greeter at Walmart for the last 5 years. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bob; daughters, Kathleen Elizabeth Newbern of Port St. Lucie, FL and Robin Elaine Mero of Vero Beach, FL; son, Kristopher Michael Cousino of Vero Beach; brothers, Charles Pearson of Atlanta, GA and David Pearson of Ohio; sister, Judy Ellerman of Punta Gorda, FL; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 followed by a funeral service 6:00 PM with Rev. L.C. Campbell officiating at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.
