Betty Ruth Roddenberry's Obituary
Betty Ruth Roddenberry, 72, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
Ms. Roddenberry was born May 21, 1937 in Winter Beach, FL and was a lifelong resident of Indian River County.
She worked for Jackies Cash and Carry, Piper and was the first women cab driver for City Cab in Vero Beach. Ms. Roddenberry was of the Pentecostal faith and a collector of many things.
Survivors include her son Chris Roddenberry of Tallahassee, FL, daughter Donna Gayle Burton of Orlando, FL, brothers Julian Roddenberry of Tallahassee, FL, Thomas Rimes of Sebastian, FL and Calvin Rimes of Danville, IL; and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters Helen Lewis and JoAnne Roddenberry; and brother Buzzy Roddenberry.
Services: A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Winter Beach Cemetery in Winter Beach, FL.
