Betty S. Strickland, 93, of Vero Beach, FL, died Tuesday, March 30, 2011 at her home in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Strickland was born June 24, 1917 in Bryan, OH. She was a resident of Vero Beach since 1986 coming from her birthplace.
She was a graduate from the University of Michigan. Here she was a sister in the Pi Beta Phi womens fraternity and the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Betty was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, the Vero Beach Yacht Club, a Bridge Club. She was also a patron of the Vero Beach Art Museum.
Survivors include her daughter; Ann L. Roan of York, ME; son, Thomas Levenson of Sarasota, FL; brother, Ted Spangler of Bryan, OH; and one grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Neil Levenson, and her second husband, Harold Strickland.
No local services are planned at this time.
