Betty L. Tankersley, 74 of Sebastian died December 25, 2008 at Sebastian River Medical Center.
She was born March 21, 1934 in Lexington, KY and was a resident of Sebastian since 1996 coming from Camarillo, CA.
Mrs. Tankersley was a retired nurse had worked for Drs office in Hollywood, FL and Home Healthcare in Indian River County and was a volunteer at Indian River Humane Society.
Survivors include her half sister: Donna Whittaker of Plymouth, IN; step-sister: Maury Garcia-Montes of SW Ranches, FL. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Tankersley.
Private service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Human Society: 6230 77th St. Vero Beach, FL 32967.
