Beverly G. Oliver, 85, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at his home in Indian River Estates.
Mr. Oliver was born July 31, 1923 in Portsmouth, VA and moved to Vero Beach in 1988 from Florissant, MO.
He had worked for the Newport News Ship Building & Dry Dock Co. before entering the US Army Air Corp during WW II where he provided aviation ground support. Mr. Oliver graduated from Virginia Tech in 1952 and went on to be a writer, editor and Branch Chief of the Aviation Systems Command in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Community Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Martha Louise Oliver of Vero Beach and son Michael G. Oliver of St. Louis, MO.
He was predeceased by a sister Jacqueline Gettier.
Services: Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth, VA.
