Billie Ann Young, 76, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, March 6, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Young was born September 22, 1932 in Pocahontas, VA and moved to Vero Beach six years ago coming from Clendenin, WVA.
Prior to retirement she had worked for CAMC in Charleston, WVA for 35 years as a Register Nurse. Mrs. Young was a graduate of the Charleston General Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1952 in Charleston, WVA and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clendenin, WVA.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years James W. Young, Sr of Vero Beach; son James W. Young, Jr. Of Vero Beach; daughters Mary Jane Mills, Beth Ann Atamer and Amy Sue Lore all of them from Vero Beach; sisters Dorothy Strunk and Nancy Wood both of them from Vero Beach; brother Jim Hicks of Bluefield, VA; twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services: The family will receive friends 6 - 8 PM, Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Fort Pierce, FL.
