Boyd W. Mayo's Obituary
Boyd W. Mayo Jr, 90, of Vero Beach died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center.
Mr. Mayo was born October 13, 1921 in Fitzgerald, GA. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 6 years, coming from Miami.
He served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War.
Boyd retired from the Southern Bell Telephone Company in Miami as an accountant after 49 years.
Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Betty Mayo; son Michael Mayo of Chatham, NJ; daughters, Janet Kahler of Lake Wales and Martha Magnuson of Foster City, CA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Indian River Estates Chapel in Vero Beach.
Arrangements are under the care of Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be sent at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
