Byron David Sickman passed on 1/11/15 at Hospice House after a long illness. He was born 2/23/40 in Dayton Ohio. As a young man he served in the Air Force. After serving as a Deputy for St Lucie County, he became a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper in 1975. Upon retiring as a Corporal in January of 1996, he worked for Communications Int'l starting their Radar Calibration unit. He was a member of the FOP and the Rusty Anchor Boat Club.
Predeceased by his Father, Edison Sickman and his Mother Ruth Hess Sickman. He is survived by his soulmate, Barbara Peltier; sons, Randy & Bill Ellis, his faithful canine companion, Casey and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life is planned for February 21, 2015 at the River House 305 Acacia Road, Vero Beach, FL 32963 from 2-6 pm with a Remembrance at 3 pm. Please bring stories & any pictures you may have to share.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House (1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960) or a charity of choice in his memory.
