Carl Chop Jr passed away July 26, 2023 at the age of 84.  Carl will be buried at the St. George's Independent Serbian Orthodox Cemetery outside of Pittsburgh.

Carl is survived by his sister Joanne Raleigh of East Millsboro, PA and many others that he considered like family.

Carl was an accomplished electrician from his days on the naval ships; he served on the USS Kiowa ATF-72, USS Orion AS-18, and the USS Simone Lake AS-33, AS EM-2.  Carl passed along his knowledge and skill working as a Merchant Mariner with the military Sealift Command as an Atlantic Chief Electrician.

Carl was kind and giving, and looked for ways to be helpful to others.  When Carl was able, he would volunteer his time with The Indian River County Food Bank.

In August of 2018, Carl made the decision to accept Jesus as his Savior, and was baptized at Good Shepherd Church of God as a public profession of his faith in Jesus. Two of Carl's favorite scriptures were from Psalm 139 and 1Corinthians 13.
