Carl Ralph Ross, 78, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Ross was born March 11, 1930 in Chenango Bridge, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1969 from Aberdeen, MD.
He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, NE and served in the US Army for 22 years, including the Korean and Vietnam War, retiring with the rank of Major. Mr. Ross then purchased and operated the Vero Sewing Center in Vero Beach until his retirement. He was a member of the Community Church-United Church of Christ in Vero Beach, a Paul Harris Fellow and member of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach, and member of the Navy League, MOAA, TROAA and SAR.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maryse Rolande Saint-Omer of Vero Beach; son Thierry M. Ross of Madison, AL; daughter Carole-Lyne Ross-Mize of Vero Beach; son Stephane L. Ross of Mobile, AL; and three grandchildren.
Services: A memorial celebration to honor the life of Carl will begin at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Community Church-United Church of Christ in Vero Beach with Rev. Carol Trax officiating and military honors provided by VFW Post 3918 of Vero Beach.
