Carl C. Steinke, 80, of Vero Beach, FL passed away February 2, 2008 at the VNA Hoapice House in Vero Beach.
Carl was born January 24, 1928 in Davie, FL and moved to Vero Beach in 1962 from FT. Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Steinke was an operating engineer for Local 675 and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Vero Beach. Carl served in the U.S. Army in reconstruction forces following WWII
Survivors include his wife Jeanette Steinke of Vero Beach; sons Carl D. Butch Steinke and his wife Susan of Vero Beach, Paul Steinke and his wife Diane of Vero Beach and Mark Steinke of Omaha, AK; daughters Theresa Thaggard and her husband Neil of Jacksonville, FL, Darlene Dempsey and her husband Jim of Palmetto, FL, Christina Cobeck and her husband Robert of Buccana, GA and Gail McNight of Doniphan, MO; step-daughter Janice Adams of Jacksonville, FL; step-son Joe Adams of Vero Beach; step-daughter Nancy Ball and her husband Basil of Vero Beach; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Services: A Life Celebration service will take place 11 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Vero Beach with the Rev Fred McKowon officiating.
